Crave Max 2500 Not Hitting? 7 Fixes That Actually Work

Most of the time a Crave Max 2500 that has stopped hitting is not broken. The usual causes are a blocked airflow sensor, a flooded coil or simple chain vaping. Work through these in order — the first three fix the large majority of cases.
1. You are chain vaping
The most common cause by a distance. Taking puffs back to back does not give the mesh coil time to draw fresh liquid, so it runs dry and either produces almost nothing or tastes burnt.
Fix: stand the device upright and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. If it comes back, that was the problem. Space your puffs out by 20 to 30 seconds.
2. The airflow sensor is blocked
These devices fire when they detect airflow. Lint from a pocket, dust or condensation across the intake will stop that happening even though the battery and liquid are fine.
Fix: find the small air intake on the base, and blow firmly through it a few times. Wipe the outside with a dry cloth. Do not poke anything into it.
3. The coil has flooded
If you hear a gurgle or get liquid in your mouth, too much e-liquid has pooled around the coil. Usually caused by leaving it lying on its side or by a sharp change in temperature.
Fix: hold it mouthpiece-down over a tissue and flick it gently downward a few times. Take two or three short draws without inhaling to clear the rest. Store it upright.
4. You are drawing too hard
Counter-intuitive, but pulling hard on a draw-activated device can over-saturate the coil and choke the airflow. These are designed for a steady, gentle draw rather than a sharp one.
Fix: take a slower, softer pull and see if it fires normally.
5. It has been in the cold
Cold thickens e-liquid so it wicks into the coil more slowly, which reads as weak vapor or nothing at all.
Fix: warm the device in your hands or a pocket for ten minutes and try again.
6. The mouthpiece is clogged
Condensed vapor and residue build up in the mouthpiece over time and restrict the draw. Easy to miss because the device seems to be firing.
Fix: wipe the mouthpiece with a dry tissue or cotton bud. Check nothing is lodged inside.
7. It is genuinely empty
The Crave Max 2500 holds 6.5mL and is not rechargeable or refillable, so at some point it is simply finished.
How to tell: the flavor has turned burnt or faded, vapor is thin, and none of the fixes above bring it back after a proper rest. At that point the device has done its job.

What not to do
- Do not try to open or refill it. It is a sealed single-use device and opening it risks damaging the battery.
- Do not charge it. There is no charging port, and improvising one is dangerous.
- Do not apply heat. Warming in your hands is fine; anything more is not.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Crave Max 2500 blinking?
A blinking indicator usually signals the battery is depleted or the device has hit a safety cutoff from too many consecutive puffs. Rest it for fifteen minutes; if it still blinks, it is finished.
My device tastes burnt but still has liquid. Why?
Almost always chain vaping. The coil is firing faster than it can re-wick. Rest it and space your puffs.
Can I fix a flooded Crave Max 2500?
Usually yes — flick it gently mouthpiece-down over a tissue and take a few short dry draws to clear excess liquid.
